City Life Demo by The Paulreyno Show

City Life Demo by The Paulreyno Show
Video sent by paulreyno
Here it is at long last after 24 years City life dusts of the cobwebs and has a brand new look and sound, with different lyrics to bring it right upto date. The theme is related to the London Bombings last year on July 7th.

The story is..I was contacted by a songwriter called Guy Young, who complimented me on my show and asked basically if there was anything he could do, so I gave him the song, I told him that I was struggling to raise it from the ashes. He said he would give it a go. This is the result. So in true Paulreyno Show fashion I got Uncle Dic to introduce it. I thought that it was about time I publicised my own talents a for a change.

Anyhow back to the plot. I have decided to give the song to my friend Paul Whinfrey aka Pocket Rocket. I feel he can do it real justice.

The song and video are basically saying that we are not safe whatever City we live in, we cannot escape the threat of terrorism, whether we live in London, New York, Las Vegas, San Fransisco, Beijing, Tokyo or anywhere else for that matter

If you feel you can do something different with the music please let me know first before you do so.

The Red Cash Inferno Interview

The Red Cash Inferno Interview
Video sent by paulreyno
Please welcome these four lads from Doncaster, who play a sort of Hardcore Metal, some would say its death metal others would call it black metal. However to quote Ben, the Bass player, since he joined they have lightened up a little.
these guys are really short of modern equipment they have no facility where they can even attempt to make an mp3, so the background music is a rough live demo recording I made of them whilst at their rehearsal rooms this week. The sound quality is not really that good but its better than what they had before, nothing. Lorne is the Vocalist, a bit of a screamer but can sing too,his style when singing is a cross between Bob Dylan and Iggy Pop. The guitarist, Matt is a really accomplished player, quick to grasp the essentials of anything new, I have mentioned Ben the Bass player, the drummer Dave is a typical noisy drummer who does like the sound of his own instrument. I would like to thank the lads for allowing me to film them.
If anyone out there has access to or can loan these guys some sort of recording equipment/mixing desk, they would be eternally grateful, at least then they will be able to release a demo ep and can then upload something onto the web.

The Paulreyno Show..Dont Poke Too Hard otherwise.......

Watch the video

Todays Paulreyno Show showcases the talents of a very young band who are based in Scunthorpe. All of them are still at school and are 14-15 years old, however their talent spans much deeper and wider than their physical ages. They play a mix of metal/Punk. Whenever I listen to their music it takes me back to my school years in particular 1977, when Punk was raelly at it's height. The band have already played a number of gigs in and around the Doncaster/Scunthorpe area. It was rumoured that the band had split just before the Summer, so I contacted Beef, to confirm the rumour and he said that the band are back in business and are ready to Rock and Roll.

The sketch today is a follow on of the Dusty Chapeaux madness theme, this time things have gone too far he is so deluded he thinks he is the President of the United States of America and even gives a speech on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Whats gonna become of Dusty? watch the ending and see for yourself..Next week The Paulreyno Show features The Red Cash Inferno a hardcore metal outfit from Doncaster.

The Paulreyno Show - Happy Pills and Lunatics

Watch the video
Todays show, entitled Lunacy, is something which is close to our hearts here at the Paulreyno Show. Dusty has returned from his long sabatical in the local Lunatic Asylum. He was on section 2 of the mental health act, so as soon as his 28 days was up and he became an
informal patient he asked for discharge under a guardianship order c/o the Paulreyno Show. It was not apparent how ill Dusty was until..........

The Band featured tonight are another top band in Doncaster called Recon. The group made up of Lea Jones on vocals, Daz Morris on Drums, Joe Hirst on guitar and the bass player Harry J Shaw are all based here in the town. They have a number of gigs lined up all over the North of England. I have highlighted just a few of them.
You can contact these guys on myspace
http://www.myspace.com/reconuk
or through me

Little Vic was really excited about the review of the band so much that he almost wet himself, he made many mistakes , but in the end he came through. This can be seen in its entirity here.

So sit down relax and enjoy another fabulous episode of the Paulreyno Show
