Unclassified, a metal/Punk band from Doncaster were kind enough to allow me into there home and invited me to do an interview with them as long as I did it in character as Uncle Dic. So I obliged. These four young people from the village where I actually grew up (small world), are a talented bunch of kids. The guitarist Adam reminds me a little of a white BB King, the vocalist, Jordan has that raw sound that I certainly would associate with the early days of punk rock, he has a very mature gravelly voice in the mould of Wayne County and Billy Idol. Dan the bassist claims that playing the bass is the best thing to do in a band, when I reminded him that it was a poor man's lead guitar, he smiled at me and curiously agreed.
Emma really hits those skins hard a first rate drummer with a potentially first rate band. A nice combination.The band has been through som trials and tribulations of late and as a result have not done any gigs recently. They are really desperate to brush off the cobwebs and start gigging again, so come on guys give these youngsters a chance to prove what they can do. I will be working with them again, and as with all the artists I feature it does not stop there, I support them all the way until they decide they no longer need my support.

These lads gave me an exclusive interview whilst taking a break from a sound check at the Woolpack public House in Doncaster.
M101 are probably the best all round gigging group in Doncaster at the moment, their problem is they have played Doncaster to death and need to get some gigs further afield.Their fan base is huge mainly 14-18 year olds with probably one exception,...me. They are better than Busted, they are mightier than McFly. You just need to hear these guys, nay you need to go and see these guys. Jon, the Vocalist, never keeps still, always on the move , an energetic individual whose enthusiasm is infectious throughout the band and even encapsulates the audience. .... .James, the bass player, always smiling, enjoys playing the four stringed poor man's lead guitar, his brand of playing is reminiscent of someone I knew many years ago lol... ..Chris, guitar player has an intelligent manner in which he carefully carresses the strings of his axe, he plays a mean rock and a subtle jazz riff is also well within his repertoire....the other guitarist, Howard is as restless as the lead singer, he picks up his guitar closes his eyes and.....he's away, he gets into his music with so much passion it is almost like he is in a trance like state. ...Finally, Dave-O the drummer, .... .. I have never seen a drummer who can play as wide a contrast of styles as this young man can ..in all of my 25 years in and around the music business, for his age he is exceptionally talented.
Here we have five individuals who have so much talent and when combined as a group its phenominal.
The backing music to the interview are old unmixed demos the boys did ages ago. They are due back in the studio very shortly to record another album.
They are currently unsigned and would dearly like to hear from a record label.

The show this week is a little shorter than normal. The featured artist is a musician from Doncaster who goes by the name of Pocket Rocket, his real name is Paul Whinfrey. This Young man is a real musician, the track you will hear was written and played entirely by Paul himself, no gimmicks, no aids, no safetynet. He palyed the drums, the guitar, the keyboards, bass and also sings. I am amazed that he has not hit the bigtime yet. His music is a cross between metal and electronic pop.
So, my appeal goes out to any record producers out there looking for new talent, keep your eyes and ears well peeled for my show only brings the best talent in Doncaster to the fore. Paul is no exception, his talent and his charisma blew me away. He needs a break to get onto the first step towards his destined stardom.

The Paulreyno Show this week is entitled “Hotter than Hell” I started by doing a “run of the mill” videoblog about my family on the hottest day of the year so far this summer, however it did not turn out like that. Brad fell off the chair he was sitting on a classic “You’ve been framed” moment, but it was Marty’s antics to the reaction that made this particular part of the video a must include in the show, better than any staged sketch. The rest of the shoot came easy as an add on to the paulreyno show. The band this week is a band called Stinger, Doncaster’s finest Metal band, they won battle of the bands 2006 in Doncaster. Their main inspiration is Iron Maiden, in fact on the night that I shot this video the lead singer from an iron maiden tribute band took to the stage and did a couple of numbers with the boys. The video is a compilation of the whole evening’s shoot. The Music is exactly what you would expect from a live gig. The format is slightly different from the usual but it would be boring sticking to the same format over and again. My show is about variety, hey if your talent isn’t music I still want to know I will showcase any sort of talent but please keep it clean strictly no porn.

I did howver re introduce my favourite type of comedy ...mime the silents are still the best.
